Official Trailer For “In Darkness” The True Story Of Leopold Soha

Agnieszka Holland returns to the big screen next year, although this has been going round the festival scene for a while now, with “In Darkness”. It certainly seems a tough watch the subject matter of Jewish people have to hide to save their lives in world war 2 is never an easy one to swallow. Holland has recently been working on Treme the US TV series but her big screen gems come in the form of Europa Europa, The Secret Garden and Olivier Olivier.

In Darkness gets a limited release in the US in February and the UK can expect the film in March although I imagine that release will be pretty limited also

Synopsis

IN DARKNESS tells the true story of Leopold Soha who risks his own life to save a dozen people from certain death. Initially only interested in his own good, the thief and burglar hides Jewish refugees for 14 months in the sewers of the Nazi-occupied town of Lvov (former Poland)
